Let me be the first to request that Dave Chappelle do a remake of Blazing Saddles, 2007 style. Dave as Sheriff Bart, Jim Carey as The Waco Kid, The Rock as Mongo....

Who's with me and thinks this would be a kick ass remake?

If Dave doesn't do it, you know it's only a matter of time before someone else does, like Ben Stiller.

Screw Jim Carey, and this thread would be better off in the Movies section.

Screw Jim Carey? You're obviously not inteligent enough to know talent and placing that talent in the right role. Who would you recomend, and this is a general discussion?

This is a topic that belongs in another part of the forum, seriously.

Leave Blazing Saddles alone. If you've studied film in its entirety, (history, genres, directors, theory and actual film making) then you wouldn't dare touch a classic like this. I state this only to bury the subject. I do not wish to debate you.

Thank You.

Actually I am intelligent enough to to know talent, I think he is funny most of the time. I would recommend that they put no one in the role, because the original was good enough, making another would just add risk for failure to a perfect movie.

I pity the fool who says I ain't intelligent.

I agree that it is a classic, but it wouldn't be a failure with Dave's brilliance and the brilliance of the writers he surrounds himself with. "Good enough" doesn't mean much.

Remakes have been huge this decade.

MTB, Tyrone Biggums called, he wants his brain back.

So have Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton.

Just because something is popular doesn't make it good.
